Exercise-induced bronchospasm (also called EIB) happens when, during exercise, the air passages in the lungs become narrower causing less air to flow through them. If your child has EIB it can be hard for him/her to exercise. Symptoms of EIB can start after 5-10 minutes of exercise, lasting up to 60 minutes after exercise is complete, and can include coughing, wheezing, difficulty breathing, and/or chest tightness. Many children with asthma also have EIB.

This research study will enroll 66 children between the ages of 4-14 years with symptoms of EIB in otherwise good, stable health. Please read through this website to find out more about this investigational research study.
